Locational Ping?
I'm a globetrotter of sorts and I have a european Guild Wars account. I have recently settled in the United States and am hoping to start med school so I'll be here a while.
With that pointed out I was told that my average ping (150-200) would drop (50-70?) if I emailed support asking them to change my account to a local one. Basic question is I was always under the assumption the game always ran off the closest/best servers from you and am wondering if what they say about changing my account over will actually benefit me or would it just be a waste of time? |

Just switch to American districts. The only places that will actually be influenced by your account's region are guild halls and PvP instances.

As far as I know, you were informed correctly. You do not bounce back to somewhere in your home district before being connected to the game servers.
